Frank L. Souza, Jr.

Frank L. Souza, Jr. passed away on June 21 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Frank was born on Oct.16, 1953 in Turlock to Mary T. Souza and Frank I. Souza, Sr. and was raised on a dairy farm in Livingston. Frank attended Livingston High School where he loved FFA, wrestling and playing football. Later in life, Frank, along with his brother Gary, found his love for rodeo. He competed in steer wrestling, bull riding, and calf roping earning him many buckles, championships and most of all, lots of close friends. There’s not a rodeo around that does not know his name or his smile. While rodeoing Frank worked at the City of Merced for 25 years and also loved and attended many car shows.

Frank is leaving behind his wife of 29 years, Robbie, and his daughter Mary Tess. Along with his brother, Gary (Terry), sister, Darlene (Brian), seven nieces and nephews and great nephews. He was preceded in death by Frank L. Souza, Sr. and Crystal N. Souza.

A funeral mass is Thurday, June 27 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Livingston with burial following at the Turlock Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Frank L. Souza Jr. Memorial Fund at any Westamerica Bank.
