Josephine ‘JoAnn’ Nesci

Josephine “JoAnn” Nesci passed away on June 10, at the age of 67. She was born in San Jose on Jan. 4, 1946. She spent her early life in San Jose and later years in between San Jose and Mariposa.

“JoAnn” is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years, Giuseppe Nesci; sons, Cosimo, Frank, Joseph and Peter; daughters-in-law, Kelie, Julie, Linda, and Lisa; along with her nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren. JoAnn is also survived by her sister, Maria; brothers, Peter and Joe Sparaco; and sisters in-law, Betty and Lorraine.

A devote Roman Catholic, JoAnn served as a religion teacher at Holy Cross and Saint Lucy’s Church for over 30 years. JoAnn excelled as a baker and wedding cake decorator. She also enjoyed working on ceramic crafts and silk flower arrangements. Above all else, JoAnn was committed to her family, and was a friend to all, who would never turn anyone away. She was the perfect balance to her husband and always available to her children and grandchildren for any needs or wants.

Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial mass at Saint Lucy’s Church, 2350 Winchester Blvd, Campbell, CA 95008; Friday, June 21, at 10 a.m. A reception will follow at the Saint Lucy’s hall located next to the church.
