Firefighters responding to another wildland blaze

Saturday, June 22, 2013 3:30 p.m. - Shortly after 3 p.m. today, firefighters began responding to a wildland blaze on Stumpfield Mountain Road near the Chowchilla River Basin.

The fire initially was reported to be around five acres and building in tinder dry, steep and rugged terrain.

Look for further updates as they become available. The Gazette has a reporter responding to the scene.
