Pretty amazing work all

Pretty amazing work all around. This fire could have been devastating major disaster to our county; as it was, the Carstens Fire has now hopefully ended as a merely expensive major inconvenience which unfortunately disrupted peoples' lives and required a huge, concerted effort from first-responding agencies all over. It's nothing short of incredible that the Carter Ranch Festival WILL go on as planned beginning this Friday June 21 - and that soon, all our residents and their displaced animals will be able to return home. A special round of applause goes out to all those selfless fire-fighters and all law-enforcement officials and volunteers who stepped up to help out. And a final word of appreciation has to go to the Mariposa Gazette, which performed exemplary work in keeping us informed - with dead-on accurate information, presented promptly. To all those who helped make this fire as endurable as possible: thank you. Thank you all.
