At around 5:45 p.m., Binnewies confirmed that an evacuation order is in place for the Mariposa Pines/Hite's Cove area of Mariposa County.

Additional, yet unconfirmed, information indicates that traffic is being stopped at Triangle Road and Highway 140 and Triangle Road and Highway 49 South.

The area of Triangle Road from Highway 140 to Darrah Road is also reportedly in the pre-evacuation stage. That information, however, has not been confirmed by law enforcement.

The Gazette team continues to work on the fire, and information will be updated as it becomes available.

There is no word on the cause of the fire or on how many acres it has burned.
