Services set for Kittie Pearson

There will be a celebration of life for Kittie Pearson on June 1.

Kittie Ellen Pearson passed on, unexpectedly, to the next phase of her journey of life May 17 in Redding.  Kittie was born the third of six children to Bill and Bunny Hoppe in Indio on Sept. 29, 1955.

At age 11 she moved with her family to San Diego. Approximately 1982, Kittie moved to Mariposa where she fell in love with the area and the community.  Even though she spent the last few years of her life in Redding, her heart remained in Mariposa.

Kittie will be missed and remembered for her desire to help those she could, however she could and through her constant desire to enjoy life and live for the moment.

She is survived by her four children, sons Jeremy (37), Brian (32), Mark (24); and daughter, Alexis (16); three granddaughters Gillian, Lilly and Milei; two grandsons, Caleb and Tiberius; her father and stepmother, Bill and Sandra Hoppe; brothers, Gary and Stephen; sisters, Kathy and Candy; four nephews, Christian, Dan, Brandon and Preston; niece, Brandy; and three grandnephews, Auguste, Tristen and Morgan; and countless beloved friends.

The family will be holding a celebration of life at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds on Saturday June 1, at 6 p.m.  A potluck dinner will follow, the family will provide tri-tip and service (plates, napkins, forks, knives and spoons). The family asks that everyone join them and reflect on how Kittie touched them.
