MCHS sends off the class of 2013

Mariposa County High School's 97th graduating class completed its commencement ceremonies on Wednesday day, and along with graduates, several long-time teachers are also starting a new phase of their lives.

Wayne Forsythe and Laura Lynn LaNotte Hays gave the inspirational message at the ceremony with their "last lesson." Along with Forsythe and Hays, math teacher Jane Moore, custodian Clair Peterson and secretary Sue Carter are also retiring.

Isabella Mirrasou and Kira Hart were two of the 11 graduating valedictorians. They spoke on behalf of their ranks. Also speaking were ASB President Carissa Leonard and senior class President Anna Laird.
