Honoring the fallen

At just after 10 a.m. Monday morning, the traditional Mariposa Memorial Day Parade was held.

Led by the Mariposa VFW Post color guard, the group marched from the visitors center to the Mariposa Cemetery for a special event honoring all those who have fallen in service to their country.

The parade consisted of the Pride of the Sierra, the MCHS marching band, members of local 4-H organizations, citizens, and members of the Mariposa County Sheriff's Office, and others.
