Dianna Sue Ryals

Dianna Sue Ryals, 64, of Mariposa, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on April 19, with her devoted husband, Carl by her side.

She was born in Little Rock,

Ark. on April 8, 1949 as Dianna Sue Crisco.

Dianna began dating her beloved Carl during her middle school years and married him two weeks after graduating from Little Rock High School on June 15, 1967.

Dianna and Carl resided and raised their family in Oklahoma City, Okla. for more than 20 years before relocating to Northern California in 1990. In 2003, Dianna and Carl permanently moved to Mariposa, where Dianna created a business from her passion, stained glass. Dianna also enjoyed working at Pioneer Market and was an enthusiastic volunteer for many community organizations.

Dianna was recognized countless times throughout her life for her art and creativity with early honors from the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Ceramic Association, The Greater Tulsa Ceramic Association, The Sierra Artists Gallery and most recently top honors from the Mariposa District Fair for stained glass and baking.

She is survived by her husband, Carl who she shared over 50 years of loving partnership and marriage together; two children, Barrett Ryals of Fremont and Tamera Butera of the Netherlands; four grandchildren; and her faithful pet, Dudley Dawg.

Services will be held Saturday May 4, 2013 at 3 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 4985 Bullion Street in Mariposa.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Mgsr. Walsh Scholarship Fund at St. Joseph’s Church.
