T-storms swoop over county

Thunder and lightning rocked the county on Monday evening, posting an inch and a quarter of rain at Midpines. Snow was forecast over the 7,500-ft. level on Tuesday.

The surprising storm delivered dozens of lightning stikes after dusk on Monday. No power outages or damage were reported. 

On Tuesday morning, National Weather Service forecasters had increased the precipitation outlook through Wednesday morning.

Also on Tuesday, forecasters saw another low-pressure system possibly bringing showers to the county on Monday, May 13.
