Tenaya Lodge hosts Friday Mariposa Grove meeting

A draft Yosemite National Park plan for the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias would eliminate tram tours and add a remote parking lot near the famous site by the Park's south entrance. Meetings this Friday and on April 24 let visitors and others learn more about the planning process.

Friday's meeting starts at 4 p.m. in the Forest View Room at Tenaya Lodge in Fish Camp.

The April 24 meeting starts at 1 p.m. at the Visitor Center Auditorium in Yosemite Valley.

Public meetings are an opportunity for the public to learn more information about each plan, interact with park staff, and provide feedback. The meetings will consist of a short presentation about the plan and an open house with background materials about the plan.

The public comment period for the Mariposa Grove plan runs through May 7.
