Patricia Ann Garrabrant

Patricia Ann Garrabrant, 79, was called home by our Lord on Feb. 12 at Stanford Hospital.

Patricia was born April 14, 1933, in Indianapolis, Ind. She was one of four children. In her later life, she worked as a crisis counselor at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove. She also became an assistant to an executive at Bank of America for many years.

Shortly after marrying her husband, Joe Garrabrant, they began their life together in Mariposa in 1985. In 2001, Patricia answered the calling to devote her time and herself to see that the building of New Life Christian Fellowship located in Bootjack became a reality. Before completion of the church in 2005, Patricia lost her husband Joe to cancer, along with a piece of herself.

She had pride in her many, varied accomplishments. She was a strong and selfless woman who lived for God and for others. She made many proud and honored to be a part of her life.

Patricia is survived by her children, Mark Arrington, Jr. of Mariposa, Laura Munson of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Sharon Flohr of Indiana.

There will be a memorial service honoring Patricia’s life in the very building she loved and was such a part of, New Life Christian Fellowship Church. This will be held on Sunday, March 10 at 4 p.m. There will be a potluck dinner to follow.

Patricia will be laid to rest with her late husband, Joe, in their home town of Mariposa. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
