Jane Neal Sharp

Jane Neal Sharp died Jan. 20 in Valley Park, Mo., quietly in her sleep at age 91.

She was born to Ray C. Neal and Margaret White Neal on

Oct. 26, 1921, in Buffalo, N.Y.

Mrs. Sharp lived in Buffalo,

N.Y.; Van Nuys and Mariposa.

She was a harpist, artist, licensed pilot, enthusiast of

American Western culture and

Ancient Egyptian culture. She held a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Buffalo.

Jane was married to the late John Jacob Graas in 1942 and later to the late James E. Sharp in 1973.

Mrs. Sharp is survived by sons, John (Alison) Gregory Graas and John (Bonnie) David Graas; sister, Barbara (Dr. Paul) Beeson; step-children, Keith (Linda) Sharp and Karen (Red) Owens. She was the sister of the late Margaret (Robert) Taylor and the late Peter (Eleanor) C. Neal.

A memorial will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 1 p.m. in St. Andrews Church, 5069 St. Andrew’s Road, with burial to follow at the Mariposa Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Wildlife Federation, 11100 Wildlife Center Drive, Reston, VA 20190, Attn: Emily Hoerner.
