A Mariposa woman was arrested last night, and her children have been taken by Child Protective Services (CPS).

Last night, Mariposa County Sheriff's detectives arrested Kristen McFadden, 38, during the execution of a search warrant for felony child endangerment and being under the influence of a controlled substance at her home.

Two small children were removed from the home by CPS. They were taken to John C. Fremont Hospital for toxicology exams and severe tooth decay.

Paraphernalia, methamphetamine pipes, broken meth pipes, needles, marijuana and alcohol were found in the home and within reach of the children.   During the arrest, McFadden fought deputies throughout the process, Mariposa County Sheriff Doug Binnewies said.
