Burglars abound: Two more arrested

There have been two more arrests for burglary--bringing the total to five in the past two days. This time, the accused are suspected of the crime at Pioneer Market

Mariposa County Undersheriff Joel Bibby said the two men were charged with burglary after they were caught shoplifting. The charge was elevated to a burglary when the men allegedly admitted they went to the store with the intention to steal.

Christopher Olvera, 18, of Le Grand and Alfonzo Barron-Martinez, 18, of Merced are being held in the Mariposa County Jail on $50,000 bail.

For the complete story on the crime, see the Feb. 14 edition of the Mariposa Gazette.
