Big weather changes expected

Jill Ballinger/GAZETTE EDITOR

For anyone who has been enjoying the nearly spring-like temperatures lately, the coming weather change might be a little shocking.

Highs today are predicted to be in the mid-60s, but by Friday, a cold storm will blow in. The National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting the storm to come in on Thursday afternoon, bringing an unseasonably cold airmass to the region.

Snow levels on Thursday night are expected to be around 3,500 feet. The snow level will fall to about 2,500 feet on Friday.
