Exclusive Tom McClintock interview--runs on Jan. 31

Erik Skindrud / GAZETTE EDITOR

Tom McClintock, Mariposa County's new representative in Congress, shared his thoughts on Yosemite, local tourism, taxes and firefighting in an exclusive interview with the MARIPOSA GAZETTE this past week.

Mr. McClintock made headlines last year by questioning Yosemite National Park plans for a new Mariposa visitor center and office complex and the continuing permit system for Half Dome summer hikers.

In the interview, the representative details his plans for the upcoming 113th Congress. With seats on the House Natural Resources committee and National Park Service subcomittee, the 4th District Congressman's ideas will be of interest to anyone connected to Yosemite and area tourism issues.

The interview will run in the MARIPOSA GAZETTE print edition of Thursday, Jan. 31--which will be posted to the Web site the same day.
