Mariposa County kids have what would seem an idyllic life. They grow up surrounded by nature’s beauty in a community with a low rate of crime. A new report issued by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, however, paints quite a different picture. The data shows that Mariposa County has the highest rate of child abuse and neglect in all of California.
