Cheers! Chefs' Holidays begin

The first session of the 2013 Chefs' Holidays at The Ahwahnee Hotel is underway.

On Sunday night, Chefs Douglas Keane, Victor Scargle and Peter Armellino welcomed the crowd in the hotel's solariarum. They previewed their dishes and toasted the kick-off.

Demonstrations take place at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday, and again at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, followed by the gala dinner prepared by the trio.

Updates on the event, which draws thousands to Yosemite each January, will be periodically posted.
