Small plane may be down in Yosemite

A single-engine aircraft piloted by a man in his mid-60s went missing in Yosemite National Park after 12:30 p.m. on Monday. Park search-and-rescue crews are searching for pilot Nicol Wilson--who disappeared near North Dome.

The area is remote and covered with snow. Park crews will be searching by helicopter on Tuesday, Ranger Kari Cobb said.

Pilot Wilson is a Santa Barbara County resident. He was flying from Santa Barbara to Mammoth Lakes when the aircraft disappeared.
