Pole-truck collision briefly knocks out power

A man lost control of a red Dodge pickup truck heading north on Darrah Road on Friday morning, destroying a power pole and briefly knocking out power to a wide area. No one was injured in the incident, but PG&E crews spent several hours securing the downed power line.

The incident occured around 11:15 a.m. on Friday. A red Dodge Ram truck was severely damaged in the incident

Moderate to heavy rain was falling at the time of the wreck. No additional information on the cause of the crash was immediately available, CHP Sgt. Becky Hagen said.
