Here comes the rain

After a cold and somewhat dry storm last weekend, it appears that wet weather is on its way.

Sunny, warm days are on their way out, according to the National Weather Service.  Wet and windy weather is expected from Friday through Sunday.

Precipitation is expected as early as tonight, and it will continue all weekend. There is a possibility that the weather pattern could remain unsettled throughout next week.

Snow levels with this series of storms are expected to be higher than last weekend's system, however. Snow is expected to fall above 6,000 feet. As much as two to three feet of snow is expected, which should help Yosemite's Badger Pass get ready for it upcoming season, which is set to open Dec. 14.
