Wayne S. Koher

Wayne Stephen Koher was born Jan. 15, 1956, and passed away Aug. 30 from respiratory complications at the age of 56.

He grew up and graduated high school in San Deigo and chose to be a machinist. He eventually moved and made Mariposa his home.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Gene E. Koher and Larene Koher Wrabel.

He is survived by his daughters, Desirea Lyn Stephens and Jean Larene Koher; grandson, Zeke Daniel Valdez; and brothers, Daniel David Koher and Glen Richard Koher; and sister, Carolyn Maki.

He loved Suzanne.

Wayne was a lover of the outdoors to the fullest and a fisherman of the Merced River. Wayne was always ready to lend a helping hand and always volunteered for his community with Mariposa Safe Families. With his spare time, he always had several projects going on. He never had time to finish them before another project idea came to mind.

Wayne loved his daughters more than anything. He was delighted with the role of grandpa.
