Amber Louise Thorson

Amber Louise Thorson was born on May 10, 1986 in Fresno, CA. She went to be with the Lord on Aug. 25 at the age of 26. Amber graduated from Mariposa County High School in 2004. She earned her associate of arts degree at Sierra College in Rocklin and was pursuing her bachelor of arts degree in psychology at Sacramento State University. Amber enjoyed playing girls’ softball and dance when she was younger and loved hanging out with friends.

Friends know Amber by the nickname “Thor.” Amber was a very loving person with a bubbly personality and a loyal friend. Her strength and courage are beyond measure. She touched so many lives, and words can never express how great a loss her family members are enduring.

Amber is survived by her mother, Rita; her father Jeff; her sister, Erica; and her grandmother, Ethel. The list of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends is too lengthy to list.

Her family would like to express its deepest gratitude to the incredible staff at the University of California, Los Angeles Ronald Reagan Medical Center. They would also like to thank everyone for all their love and faithful support.

Services for Amber will be held on Sept. 8 at First Baptist Church, 5005 Frank Wilson Road, Mariposa, at 12:30 p.m. If friends and family wish to send flowers, Ambers favorite colors were blues and purples or you can make a donation to the California Transplant Donor Network.

Jeff & Rita - our deepest

Jeff & Rita - our deepest heartfelt sympathies are with you on the loss of Amber who grew up to be such a beautiful young woman. We will always keep her in our hearts as we do her Ticker that we had the honor of caring for and was a companion to Amber. The Jenkins Family

On behalf of my wife, Helen,

On behalf of my wife, Helen, we would like to express our deepest heartfelt sympathies on your loss. We remember Amber as a beautiful young spirit - not too unsimiliar of her little Ticker that we got to care for over the years and was a companion to Amber, he lived to be 21 years old and 16 of those years were with us. He was truly a great addition to our family and are ever thankful for the generosity you showed allowing us to have him in our life as he was part of yours. Our deepest sorrows are with you. Amber grew up to be a beautiful young woman. The Dave Jenkins Family

Dearest Jeff & Rita - both my wife and I wish to express our deepest heartfelt sympathies for your loss. We remember Amber as a beautiful little spirit - not too unlike Ticker who we got to enjoy for 16 years and was a companion to Amber. These are truly memories we will never forget. With our love, The Jenkins Family
