Myrna Mae Thompson

Myrna Mae Thompson was born on July 31, 1928 in Bell.

She was 84 years old, and she passed away on Aug. 22.

She was loving, caring and precious beyond words. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a good friend.

She was raised by her grandparents and then met Lewis (Tommy) Thompson and it was love at first sight. They married in Yuma, on July 3, 1948. They moved to Moorpark and had six girls.

They later visited Mariposa and fell in love with the area in 1985, enjoying the snow, watching the deer, birds and sometimes a bear.

Myrna enjoyed camping, horseback riding, cooking, family, watching humingbirds and nuthatch, and loved her roses.

She is survivied by Cathy and Larry Cleghorn of Oklahoma, Pam and Tommy Worrell of Mariposa, Linda and Mike Fusillo of Templeton; Lauri and Chris Nutt of Mariposa, Debra and Lynn Wood of Oklahoma, Patti Thompson and Herb White of Illinois, plus 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, along with her dog, Peanut; and cat, Spookie.

A private memorial will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012.
