Beverly Van Bibber

Beverly Ardell Van Bibber was born in Pasadena on Dec.

18, 1924, to Alfred and Edna

Heyne. She passed away on

July 25.

She grew up in Southern California and came to Mariposa in the 1940s after her parents bought Spring Valley Ranch. She fell in love with the area and also a man her father introduced to her, Tom Van Bibber. They married in 1951, and then built a house in 1952 where they continued to live until now. Beverly was a homemaker as well as a gardener until her recent illness. She was a devout Jehovah’s Witness since 1965. One of Beverly’s greatest loves was sharing the Bible with her neighbors and friends.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Tom; children, Janice Van Bibber, Margaret Jackson and James Van Bibber and his wife Angelina; grandchildren, Becky and Tiffany Jackson. Her siblings include the following: Alvin and Bernie Heyne and sister, Ellen Wackerman. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers Wally and Berwyn (Smoky) Heyne.

A funeral service was held Saturday, July 28 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Mariposa.
