Ron E. Rhoan

Services are set for July 14 at

11 a.m. at the outside chapel of the Mariposa Cemetery for Ron

E. Rhoan.

Ron was born on July 13,

1959, to Elgin Rhoan, Sr. and

Elaine Bolton.

Because of a tragedy, his family lost Ron on June 23. They will miss him dearly. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Elgin Rhoan, Sr.; brother, David; grandparents, George and Ella (Tootie) Rhoan, Bill and Minnie Bolton, all of Mariposa.

He is survived by his mother, Elaine Bolton of Merced; sister Kathy “Sis” (Danny) of Mariposa; brothers, Elgin Jr. (Belinda) of Sacramento, Don of Merced, and Steven of Oakhurst; many nieces and nephews, uncles and aunts and friends. He loved them all.

Ron loved gold panning, fishing, gambling and playing in his garden. But most of all, Ron loved being around family and friends, laughing and just having a good time.

“May the Great Spirit be with you on your journey.”

Ron is my first cousin. When

Ron is my first cousin. When we were growing up we all pretty much lived on the property where our grandparents lived. At any given time there were always at least 2 families living there so we got to be real close with our cousins. That closeness was never lost even as we grew to be adults with our own families. Alot of people that didn't know Ron got the wrong idea about him because of the way he looked or because he had a knack for sometimes partying a little hearty!! He was a very sweet man. He would do anything for his family or friends. He had a great sense of humor, too. I'm going to miss my cousin very much. He's with his dad & Gramma & Grampa. I know they're all watching over us waiting for the time we will all be together as a family once more. Here's to you my cousin Ron, hoping there is fishing, gold panning, gambling, & playing in your garden where your journey has ended. Keep laughing & having a good time. I love you & miss you. Your cousin, Shell.
