Harold V. Locke

Harold Virgil Locke was born in Blue Earth, Minn. on Feb. 26, 1921, and passed away peacefully on June 9, in Turlock at the age of 91.

Harold enlisted into the United States Army in Minnesota in 1942 and was honorably discharged in 1945. Harold moved his family to Mariposa in 1970 from the Bay Area and worked at Inter-County Title Company in Mariposa and eventually ran the Mariposa branch of First American Title Insurance.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Locke of Mariposa in 2004; his mother-in-law, Annie Carney in 2003, also a long-time resident of Mariposa County; and two sisters, Betty Maynard and Arlene Jones, both of Concord.

Harold is survived by his four children, Steve Locke of Denver, NC; Jodi Locke of Atwater, Eric Locke of Visalia, and John Locke of Turlock, along with eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Services for Harold will held at Memory Gardens, 2011 Arnold Industrial Way, in Concord, on June 15 at noon.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donors consider donating to a local area hospice or charitable organization.
