You have to be kidding me!

You have to be kidding me! $488,000?!?! I dont understand why a volunteer agency needs more than a steel structure to park the equipment. When is the board of supervisors gonna stop the MADNESS!

They need more than steel

They need more than steel structures to provide a facility for training and other departmental activities. Just because they are volunteers doesn't mean they just need a place to park stuff. They do everything a paid department does for free. While most of them hold full time jobs. When theres a fire in your area why dont you tell those "volunteers" that you only wanted them to have a steel to park and not an area to train. I'm sure they will be happy to just park the equipment and not use it.
