90-year-old "zips" item off his bucket list

Jill Ballinger/GAZETTE EDITOR

Most people don't live to see age 90, and those that do are often frail and ill. That is definitely not the case for 90-year-old Frank Rowland of Fresno.

Rowland and his wife, Rosemary, traveled to Mariposa on Thursday morning so Frank could experience a zipline at Yosemite Zipline Adventure Ranch.

Frank said he wasn't afraid of the zipline, having been shot at in World War II.

"It's just something I want to cross off my bucket list," Rowland said.

For the full story on Rowland's ride and the new features at Yosemite Zipline Adventure Ranch, see the June 7 edition of the Mariposa Gazette.
