Karen Lee Cochran

Karen was born in Keokuk, Iowa on August 25, 1941 to William L. Reagin and Helen Hanson Reagin. She passed away in Mariposa on May 7.

She is survived by two sons, Jason (Audrey) Cochran, of Colliersville, Tenn.; and Gary Cochran II, Nipinnawasee; her mother, Helen Reagin of Mariposa; and six grandchildren, Mackenzie and Cal of Tennessee; Shelley and Gary III of Idaho; Janie of Sacramento, and Joshua of Merced. Also surviving are three sisters, Judy (Glen) Hill of Apple Valley; Sharon (Craig) Mikkelsen of Mariposa; and Kathy (Chuck) Stanley of Merced; and two aunts, Lorraine Hollar of Rancho Cucamonga, and Harriet Hanson of Mariposa, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Karen’s long-time partner, Paul McMurray; her father, William L. Reagin; and a sister, Sandra Jo Wright, preceded her in death.

During the 10 plus years she lived in Mariposa, Karen worked as a caregiver, owned her own business, worked at Bloomers and, briefly, at Pioneer Market.

Karen was a hard-working, loving and loyal woman whose life centered on her family. In addition to family, she leaves a host of friends who will miss her a great deal.

Memorial services are pending.
