Crews will blast on Highway 49 again

Jill Ballinger/GAZETTE EDITOR

Work continues on Highway 49 South at Ashworth Road, and delays may be significant this Friday.

Excavation work will take place all week from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Crews will also intermittently close the highway for blasting on Friday, May 18,  from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for blasting. Drivers could face delays of 30 to 60 minutes.

Motorists should use alternate routes when possible.

Hope the cyclists are willing

Hope the cyclists are willing to wait for the road to be cleared. Maybe they'll time it out just right to be able to breeze right through the area between road closures.
