Violent crash injures one

Jill Ballinger/GAZETTE EDITOR

A car that appeared to have lost control on Darrah Road this morning ended up on top of its driver, injuring him. The crash happened about a quarter-mile south of the Triangle Road intersection.

The driver, who remains unidentified at this time, had to be rescued by passers-by who saw the crash. They lifted the car off his body and tied it to a tree to keep it off him.

One of those rescuers said that the driver was completely under the vehicle, except for his head. He appeared to have been ejected from the car before it came to rest.

He was taken by ground ambulance to John C. Fremont Hospital where an air ambulance was waiting to transport him to a valley hospital.

No other details were immediately available.
