The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform one-way traffic control on State Route 49 from Silva Road/ Indian Peak Road to Allred Road.

Work will begin on Monday, May 7, 2012, through Friday, May 11, 2012, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Motorists should expect 20 minute delays.

Crews will also intermittently close the highway for blasting beginning Wednesday, May 9,  through Thursday, May 10,  from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The time frame, however, does not mean that the road will be completely inaccessible.

Motorists should expect 30 minute delays.  Alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.
