i think this man should have

i think this man should have been charged with more than just that ........ he has made comfy Mariposa into a not so comfy town ... he has stole from the good people of this town .... for his own thrill's and kick's i think this man should be banned from ever coming back here .... we do not need people like him in such a cozy, happy , retired , town like Mariposa .....

I am very sorry to inform you

I am very sorry to inform you that no matter how bad you wish to remain ignorant and live in the past, this is the 22nd century.....Mariposa is a one-district county with 11 school sites and a total student population of approximately 2,000 students.... that's pretty awesome for a 'retired town' as you put it. I can see that you miss your 'good old days' of tarring and feathering and running people out of town on a rail, but you would need a rail. No matter how hard all you old timers try it's is a good 50 years past due that you admit those days are gone. You act like a burglary is a capitol offense of which there are none in you quaint little town. Did you forget the mariposa sheriffs car that collided with secret service agents in 1983 Queens cavalcade and killed 3 secret service agents, or 1980 disappearance of deputy Van meter who's body wash up in mcClure in 1990 and had been 'weighted' to sink. How about all the gained infamy the sheriff's department earned in the 80's and 90's for marijuana, meth labs and drug dealing, and the cover ups and lying to grand juries. The 20/20 broadcast of this travesty in our county.the'Stayner' murders of 1999. Or that you have 33 registered sex offenders here. It is time for you 'local' to take your head out of the sand. Mariposa is not the land of 'rainbows and candy' or 'God's Country' as you have so hard tried to convince everyone you meet. We live in the real world! And where is it better to persecute a burglar to 'the full extent of the law', bypass all the sex offender's and ignore the miss-dealing and law breaking of your local deputies. You are deluded!
