Highway 41 reopens

At 5:10 this morning, the Central Valley Transportation Management Center announced that Highway 41 into Yosemite National Park had reopened.

The highway had been closed since around 5 p.m. Sunday due to a hazardous material spill from a truck that involved 25-pound bags of sulphur.

The driver of that vehicle is in federal custody, but details on the reasons he is being detained are sparse.

Look for more details as they become available.
