Park unveils 150th anniversary logo

Yosemite National Park will unveil the Yosemite Grant 150th anniversary logo on Thursday, April 12, at the Yosemite Gateway Partners meeting.

The Park, in partnership with all of Yosemite’s communities and Park
partners, is currently in the planning stages to commemorate the upcoming milestone anniversary.  June 30, 2014 marks the 150th anniversary of the Yosemite Grant Act, in which President Abraham Lincoln signed in 1864 to protect Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees.  The unveiling of the logo marks the beginning of the multitude of activities that will occur in the Park and in the gateway communities leading up to the anniversary commemoration.

The meeting will take place at Yosemite Lodge, Garden Terrace Room at 11:45 a.m.

Yosemite National Park Superintendent Don Neubacher, anniversary committee members and representatives from gateway communities
will be unveiling ceremony of the Yosemite Grant 150th Anniversary Logo and enjoying cake with Yosemite Grant 150th anniversary logo.
