Yosemite celebrates Village Store reopening

Delaware North Companies (DNC) Parks and Resorts at Yosemite is celebrating the completion of a $1.15 million dollar eco-remodel of the Village Store, which serves millions of Park visitors annually. The remodeled store, achieving a 25 percent energy use reduction, offers visitors an eco-friendly and healthy park shopping experience through the store's sustainable design features and locally grown organic produce. This is one of the ways DNC supports the National Park Service’s Healthy Parks, Healthy People initiative. Officials will celebrate the reopening on April 3. DNC Parks and Resorts at Yosemite President Dan Jensen and DNC Parks and Resorts at Yosemite Director of Retail Renae Rippentrop and representatives from the National Park Service and Yosemite Valley community members and local students will mark the event.
