John F. Patrickson

John F. Patrickson, a 49-year resident of Mariposa, passed away on March 13. He was 83.

Mr. Patrickson lived in Mariposa and commuted to work for years.

He was born on Catalina Island, where he graduated from high school. He attended classes in Los Angeles and became an electrician until his retirement. He was a strong member of the Electrical Union, working out of Fresno, for many years. He was also a veteran of the Korean War.

John still enjoyed the sea and fishing, later getting involved in roping, and loved to travel. He liked working with organizations that involved helping people. John fully enjoyed attending yearly class reunions on Catalina and reuniting with fellow schoolmates.

John is survived by his wife of 37 years, Noreen Patrickson; step-son, John J. Smith of Fresno; granddaughters, Darlene and Kimberly; great-granddaughters, Jaden and Kyrea; step-daughter, Karen Lewis and her husband Steve; grandson, Tim and his wife Sarah; great-grandson, Connor, all of Mariposa; granddaughter, Michelle Hinkle and her husband Danny; great-grandson, Bryson, of Oklahoma; two adopted children, Rick Roesch of Escondido and his wife Cheryl; grandchildren, Allyse, Kellen, Michelle and Danielle; Carol Miller and her husband Eli of La Jolla; and grandson, Kevin.

John was preceded in death by two of his adopted children, Kyle and Lynn Patrickson.
