Park needs volunteer

The Yosemite National Park Division of Resources Management and Science is looking for a volunteer to assist with surveying and monitoring peregrine falcon nests in April and May.

This is a great introduction for someone interested in gaining experience in wildlife research and management. The volunteer/intern position would include housing and a modest stipend (at least 32 volunteer hours required each week for at least a month duration for stipend and housing).

Applicant must have a sense of humor, be extraordinarily patient (four-hour stints spent looking through spotting scope), be in good physical shape, and have diligent observational and note-taking skills. Anyone interested should contact Sarah Stock at sarah_stock@nps.gov or phone 379-1435.
