Trail plan tops Midpines meeting agenda

A proposed recreation trail along Bear Creek tops the agenda for Tuesday evening's Midpines Planning Advisory Committee at the Midpines County Park.

The meeting starts at 7 p.m. at Midpines County Park, 6364 Highway 140 in Midpines.

Retired Yosemite National Park landscape architect Don Fox recently produced a brochure promoting the recreation trail plan. The trail would follow Bear Creek from the vicinity of the county park as flows downhill several miles to the area around the Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort. The trail would give local people a place to walk, bike and enjoy the creek, said Fox, a Midpines resident and member of the planning committee.

Also on the agenda is an update on work at Midpines County Park and a call for volunteers to complete a walk around the restroom there.
