FFA seeks support with license plates

For the past several months the California State FFA Association has been promoting the California Agriculture Specialty License Plate. This plate will provide funding annually to the State FFA through the renewal of these plates. The organization is very close to meeting the 7,500 minimum plate order that the DMV requires to send a specialty plate to print. The deadline is by April 2.

The State FFA Association has acquired sponsorship funds to purchase the remaining plates and give them to people willing to accept them.  The Mariposa FFA Chapter is asking for the community's help in reaching this goal.

Those interested can obtain information and an order former from MCHS ag teacher Buz Arnold by Tuesday, March 27, and the chapter will register buyers for a free Specialty Agriculture Plate.

Next year the plate can be renewed for a $40 fee, which will go  to the State FFA Association to help with statewide conferences and leadership development.  The renewal fee is tax deductible and a great way to support agriculture education.
