Irvin “Glenn” Nielson (Wadel)

Glenn Nielson passed away on Saturday, Feb. 25 at the age of 80 after a lengthy illness.

Upon retiring from the Navy they settled in Campbell, where he went to work for a school district, and a son was added to the family. In 1975, Glenn moved his family to Mariposa where they owned and operated Roy’s Café in Hornitos. After closing the restaurant, Glenn went to work for the Mariposa County Courthouse maintenance department for 10 years where one of his duties was keeping the courthouse clock wound and on time.
