Looking around, the audience spots the dramatic duo of Eth-Noh-Tec’s, Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo and Nancy Wang making their way to the stage. It’s story theatre time as Eth-Noh-Tec quickly engages listeners with Asian folktales and myths with their enchanting use of storytelling, theatre, dance and music.
The Mariposa County Arts Council’s, 25th Mariposa Storytelling Festival will be featuring Eth-Noh-Tec, along with five other renowned storytellers, during its three-day event, March 9 through 11.
Often embellishing plots with the lyricism of a flute, or bringing characters to life with animated facial gestures, Robert and Nancy’s masterful timing and surprises draw audiences of all ages into a joyful exploration of Asian culture.
Eth-Noh-Tec has performed at schools, festivals, universities and conferences around the world, including the Smithsonian, the Kennedy Center, and the National Storytelling Festival. This will be Eth-Noh-Tec’s third appearance in Mariposa.
