It seems to me that a developer like Merlin Jones would be passing anything he wanted for his "super housing project", this being a conflict of interest. He has just put out a horrible letter saying slanderous things about the other canidates, and people in the area he "thinks" are attacking him. I was very surprised to have read it, as he's got nerve! Now, we all know that people are not perfect, and I'm sure Merlin has done things he wishes he could have taken back. If I had written the letter he did, I would apologise to each and everyone he has slandered in his letter. It's a hateful letter and we all know we need more hate in the world. I just don't see how this hate he has expressed can help anyone let alone being our Supervisor. That was not a good move on your part Merlin, it was just wrong! Mahalo...

I wonder if Merlin Jones, the developer, could face a conflict of interest in his bid to be supervisor of the area where he is in the process of building a massive and unpopular development that has felled hundreds of trees, created land erosion that impacts neighbors and may create a ground water shortage in the area. Wouldn't a supervisor be responsible for overseeing just this sort of development?
