William ‘Billy’ Walter Ruport

William “Billy” Walter Ruport, 38, of Mariposa, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 14, after a tragic accident. He was born April 19, 1973.

Billy, as most knew him, was a loving son, uncle, brother and nephew. Everyone who knew him enjoyed being in his company. Billy was in and out of his family members’ lives often, but while he was around, he was a loving part of the family. He made everyone around him smile through his joking nature. He loved kids and enjoyed being with his friends and family.

Wiliam is survived by his mother, Frances (Sue) McElroy of Mariposa; his sisters, Phyllis Redding, Rhonda Matthews and Frances Barlow, all of Mariposa; brother, Oren (Pancho) Ruport of Mariposa; and Marcia Whitcomb of Arkansas; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at the Mariposa Cemetery.

I new Billy a short time and while I new him he was helping me. Helping me be and feel safe and protecting me. He was not perfect. He was a good man with a huge heart that was trying to find a place to fit in and be comfortable. He earned a place in my heart forever. He will be missed. Thank You Billy For being my friend May God Keep you safe and embrace you from here on out. Rest in Peace and stop to smell the roses. Love ya Susan...
