Paul M. Streller

Paul Martin Streller of Mariposa, 81, peacefully passed away in his home on Sept. 18 in the presence of family members. Paul was born on March 2, 1930 in Buffalo, NY, where he also spent his childhood and young adult life. In 1948, he enlisted in the Navy and served in the Korean Conflict. After serving, he married the love of his life, Theresa, his wife of 57 years. With their three young children, they moved to Yuma, Ariz., where they lived for two years and had their youngest daughter.

In 1963, they moved to Aptos, where they owned and operated Aptos Office Equipment and Supply from 1968-1994. Paul was a member and former president of the Aptos Kiwanis Club and a board member of McDowell Youth Homes. After retiring, Paul and Terry moved to Mariposa in 1997. Throughout his life Paul enjoyed oil painting, creating wooden folk art carvings, gardening and making oatmeal cookies. He was an active member of Mariposa’s Butterfly Garden Club.

Paul is survived by his four children, Pamela Arthur, Roberta Crowley, Mark Streller, Lisa McElroy and their spouses; his sister, Marcia Streller, brother Ron Streller, his seven grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.
