Ive got an idea... How bout

Ive got an idea... How bout lets just get rid of Rick Benson. Im sure he is overpaid for not doing too much of anything. Isnt the Board of Supervisors doing all of his work anyway? I say leave the little people alone and start cutting fat from the top. All of the overpaid people that are not doing much except sitting around deciding to cut people that are already not being paid what they should be anyway. There are so many underpaid employees in this County. Just look at the Sheriffs Office for example. Those people get paid peanuts compared to other departments. Its a wonder we even have law enforcement here since the pay is so little. Its just a matter of time before the economy picks up and these people go somewhere where they are paid accordingly and what they are worth.

Saving money and Board

Saving money and Board Courtesy! This is the passage caught my interest: "In addition to the furlough, the CAO recommends that the board and department heads reduce their salaries by an amount that corresponds to the reduced pay of other County employees. Any reduction in elected official pay must be voluntary, as the board does not have the authority to change it." I would like to begin to see some very kind and courteous board members reduce their pay if only a little bit. (this could make a huge difference) And I pray that our board continues to have good morals and putting other people first. I DO NOT want to see our towns government, even if just a smudge, becoming like our Federal gov. I also would like to note, that I encourage more people to talk about the Bartering System and give it a try. This town is all we've (mariposa citizens)got and if our town wants to thrive, Bartering should be the talk of the town!

so will rick bensonbe taking

so will rick bensonbe taking a pay cut, as he has requested so many employees to do so. the eleceted officals should not take cuts. they where elected to the psition by us, we did not elect rick benson

"stable" property tax and

"stable" property tax and record breaking TOT, and rick benson is still calling for furloughs. where does his funding numbers come from? how many times will rick benson say there is a shortfall. he continues to call shortfall and by the end of the fiscal year there is still money in the budget

Oh ya, there is lots'a fat in

Oh ya, there is lots'a fat in that office that need to go. Like in the District Office. I could go on and on...
