Annabelle McNally

Annabelle McNally, 80, a native of Mariposa Couty, passed away in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on April 10.

Annabelle was born Feb. 11, 1931, at the family home in Bootjack. She was the youngest of 10 children born to Henry John and Dora Ethel (Lewis) Mc- Nally, members of pioneering Mariposa County families.

She attended Sebastopol Elementary School at Bootjack and graduated from Mariposa County High School.

Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Dora McNally; her brothers, Claude, Merrill and Gene McNally; her sisters, Ruth Conway, Esma Bradshaw, Irva Jordan and Mary Oakes.

She is survived by her children: Jerri Duyette and husband Al, and Jeffry Mefford of Tennessee; David Mefford of Iowa, Brian Mefford and wife, Susie, of Modesto; Michael Mefford and Pamela Brooks of Montana; Teresa Campbell and her husband, Ray, of Oregon. She also left behind a brother, Lindy Mc- Nally and wife, Charlene, of Bootjack; and a sister, Velma Tarver of Nevada; plus 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at the Mariposa Cemetery Pavilion on Sunday, May 29 at 10 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Mariposa County High School Grizzlies sports programs or the charity of the donor’s choice.
