As a resident on this part of the Hwy, i would like at least to see New Sinage, about slowing down Park ahead, or watch for cross traffic @ the S.Trower Rd and the North bound hwy @ Hornitos Rd. The park is used at the transer area for school children, and alomost every morning or afternoon, you can see what a hazard this place is w/speeding traffice trying to get around it.

I keep reading in the Mariposa Gazette, about a disproportional number of traffic fatalities, considering the population in Mariposa County. I was so sorry to read about this accident, and I think it will have repercussions with people who like to drive collectible cars in that area. The hazardous road conditions need to be addressed. This is very sad. As a resident of Catheys Valley I have expressed my concern to Supervisor Janet Bibby about getting the speed limit in Catheys Valley reduced. I used to live on Highway 140 and was almost killed myself by someone not paying attention to me turning into my driveway. If the speed limit was reduced maybe it could help prevent fatal accidents. How many people have to be killed before the county realizes this is a serious problem?
